Take a walk for/with Karyn

Dear Friends of Karyn and Jules,
In support of our beloved Karyn, please join us for the National Brain Tumor Foundation Angel Adventure Fundraising Walk!

The walk takes place on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Our team is called Karyn¹s Community, and Karyn is our captain! You can participate in several ways:

1. You can walk with us in May. If you are interested in walking with us on May 6, 2006, please register through the National Brain Tumor Foundation. You¹ll have an option to join Karyn's Community team. It costs $50 to sign up, and participants are encouraged to raise at least $350. Please email Thet at thet10@comcast.net if you would like to join us.

Here's the web page, just look for the link to sign up for an Angel Adventure: http://firstgiving.com/angeladventure

2. You can sponsor Karyn's Community and make a tax-deductible donation to the National Brain Tumor Foundation through their website. Here's the link: http://www.firstgiving.com/karynscommunity

3. You can make a donation directly to the Karyn and Julian Family Fund to help defray their medical and childcare costs. Please mail the check (payable to the Karyn and Julian Family Fund) to Julian's sister:

Message from Karyn

It's officially three weeks (and one day) since the surgery. I feel
like I am turning a corner in strength and lucidity which is very
exciting for me. I intend to continue to feel better at this rate and
I feel like I can conquer anything (six more weeks of treatments
included). Our good news is that the doctors have determined that I
will be going home on February 27th at 2pm, which is one month after
going into Marin General for my "sinus headache".

Julian is (in true Julian form) educating himself about alternative
medicinal treatments, nutritionists and other mind-body therapies. I
know there is something in these alternative treatments that will
work for me.

We appreciate everyones enthusiasm and input and we will check back
soon....

Bye everyone and eat well!

Love,

~Karyn (as transcribed Julian)
