WAYS TO HELP

Surgery Scrubbed

Well, it looks like the surgery has been scrubbed for now. Still no
word on a discharge date but we have now been told it could be Monday
which we all are sad to hear. More news as we get it....

More Surgery....

Dr. Parsa has suggested that the situation with Karyn would be best
handled by the installation of a shunt to help drain the spinal fluid
into her stomach. This is a fairly routine procedure and supposedly
she would be able to be released tomorrow if it happens tonight. At
this point we are waiting on a few different types if information to
make sure that she is physically ready for the surgery.

Why the universe is dealing us so many blows I cannot tell you for
surely anyone who knows Karyn can tell you she does not deserve this.
No one does. All we can do is play with the cards that we have been
dealt. We are doing everything we can to get her back home with us
where she belongs. I will try to send out an update once I know
anything else.

After more than a week at UCSF it looks like Karyn will get out tomorrow...keep your fingers crossed.
