Julian, I'm so happy that you and Karyn and the children will once again be in your home. This has been a very long journey for you all. Dear Julian and Karyn,
I struggle to find any words of comfort for you and your family and there are none that seem to come, though I would give my right arm for them. My heart is as open as it’s ever been, and I hold you and Karyn and your beautiful family with me all the time. It gave me such hope when you wrote that tonight Karyn would be in her own bed with you along side her and her beloved family all there. I continue to be astonished at your courage, and the exquisite grace and eloquence with which you navigate your way thru these most difficult waters. And I am deeply grateful that you make the time to share with us this heartbreaking journey. I stand in the long line of people who love Karyn, and as painful as it is, it helps us so much to hear from your voice how she is; it makes us feel closer to her, and that’s what matters. There are so many mysteries, and right now I know little. But I do believe we all need to be witnessed in this life—it is truly one of the greatest gifts of our time here, and it’s a rare experience. Please know that there are so many of us witnessing you and Karyn as you make your way, and we are richer for it. You are being seen; draw strength from this fact: we are all with you. May you have the privacy and quiet that you need and deserve.
