Happy St. Valentine's Day
Happy St. Valentine's Day!
You all have a special place in my heart today and I am sending you
kisses and hugs from Kentfield Rehab.
I am touched by all of your sweet messages, toasts and chocolate
indulgences. Today, with the help of my physical therapist, I was
able to move my left leg, which was very exciting and "promising" as
the doctor put it.
I have started a radiation regime that will last the next 6 weeks
(today was the first treatment). Each treatment only lasts a minute
or two and they are targeting the remaining cancer cells that they
could not take out during surgery. So, every day around 3:15PM I am
saying a mantra to rid my brain of the residual cancer...as I told
Jacqui this weekend, I do strongly believe in the power of prayer and
positive thinking and I am grateful for all of you that are including
me in yours.
My doctor told me that if my progress continues as it is now, they
have targeted February 28th to send me home. Thanks to some dear
friends, we will be able to make the necessary modifications to the
house that will allow me to live there without much assistance as I
slowly regain the use of my left side.
Kisses, Besos and Baci from the bottom of my heart!
Love,
Karyn
